Good Delivery Gold Bars are the internationally accepted trading standard used by gold dealers, traders and bullion banks around the world to trade and deal in gold. Rand Refinery has been producing 400 troy ounce bars for this market since 1921 when these bars were first accredited London Good Delivery Status by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA). The refinery's 100 troy ounce cast bars have also enjoyed good delivery status on the New York Mercantile Exchange (Comex Division) since 1974 and the 1 000 gram bars on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (Tocom) since 1993. In March 2005, Rand Refinery was the first refinery to receive 'Dubai Good Delivery Status' as awarded by the Dubai Metals and Commodity Centre (DMCC). The DMCC good delivery status applies to bars weighing one kilogram and which have been stamped with the year of fabrication.
